iScanner is a solid mobile scanning app that performs reliably for everyday document digitization. It’s easy to use, fast, and produces clean, readable scans with good edge detection and image enhancement. For general use cases like receipts, notes, contracts, and forms, it works very well and feels polished. One of its strongest features is how quickly it converts physical documents into shareable digital files. The export options are also flexible, allowing users to save as PDF or image formats and send files directly to cloud storage or other apps. However, the OCR (text recognition) performance is not equally strong across all languages. In particular, Finnish text recognition still has room for improvement. While English text is generally recognized accurately, Finnish documents may contain more errors, especially with longer or more complex words and inflections. This can reduce the usefulness of the text extraction feature for Finnish-speaking users. Despite this limitation, iScanner remains a very capable all-around scanning app. Its interface is intuitive, scanning quality is high, and it covers most typical needs without complications. If your primary use is scanning documents rather than perfect OCR in less-supported languages, it is a strong choice. Overall, iScanner is a dependable tool with excellent usability, but its Finnish OCR accuracy could be improved to make it fully reliable for multilingual users.

iScanner is a convenient app that lets you create and edit PDF documents using just your smartphone camera. It offers accuracy on par with Adobe Scan, but its extensive retouching and editing tools make it incredibly versatile—you can do just about anything. The auto mode has some quirks and feels tricky for me, but manual mode captures clean, beautiful scans with no extra adjustments needed. On a separate note, I apologize to the StackSocial support team for the inconvenience caused by this app. I’d like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude.

Just a great app! Love taking a picture of a form that is all crinkled up and it comes out like a brand new bright sheet of paper with the text fully readable. Also nice being able to edit practically anything on a card, post card or flyer, etc….. There are so many features with this app and I still haven’t been able to get to use them all. I’m still in the “Exploring and Playing with all the Features Stage”. It is well worth the price!!
